Susan Eichler

She was born August 10, 1942 in Cooperstown the daughter of the late Albert and Mary Eleanor (Diamond) Flint.

Susan graduated from Cherry Valley Central School and furthered her education at SUNY Oneonta. For many years she taught cosmetology at BOCES in Milford until her retirement. After her retirement, Sue was the Town of Milford Town Clerk.

Susan married the love of her life Richard Eichler, on September 16, 1961, in a beautiful ceremony at the Methodist Church in Cooperstown, after a year-long courtship. Their union was a testament to enduring love, lasting for 62 years until his death on February 16, 2024.

She had a deep love of horses and her cat, Casper and enjoyed watching westerns and college basketball especially during March Madness.

Sue is survived by her loving son, Steve, and daughter-in-law, Jill Eichler; cherished granddaughter, Ali Eichler; beloved grandsons, William and Danielle Craft, and Jeremy Craft; adored great-grandchildren, Rylieigh Ann and Joel Craft; special friends, the Craft family, Richard Couse, Larry and Elaine Eichler and Donna Jahnke.

The family would like to send a very loving thanks to her caretakers Rachel, Casey, Liz, Jamie and Destiny who helped so much making her life comfortable.

There will be no calling hours. A graveside service to honor and celebrate Sue’s life will be held in the spring at Milford Center Cemetery, Milford Center.
