Alda Todesco Fernandes

Alda was born on June 20, 1936 to Giovanni and Giovanna Todesco in Guaicara, Brazil where here family had a strawberry farm. She married Saico Fernandes in November 1955 and in 1958 they had Valmir and in 1961 they had their daughter Leila. Alda immigrated to California from São Paulo Brazil with her family in 1967.

She worked at Roberts Manufacturing for 29 years. She was a resident in Upland for over five decades. Alda will lovingly be remembered by her family as an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was known for her hospitality, her amazing cooking, her gardening skills and her beautiful crocheting. Everyone was welcomed in her home. Her kindness, sense of humor, strength, and dedication to family and God will live on in our memories.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Saico Fernandes ;her parents Giovanni and Giovanna Todesco; her siblings Rene, Americo, Dezi, Jackie, Joao ; granddaughter Camila.

She is survived by her children Valmir (Beth), Leila(Martin), Nadia(Altivo) who was like a daughter to her; grandchildren Stephanie(Kirk), Marcella(Ryan), Martin(Aubrey), Matthew(Michelle), Travis (Nemesia), Bianca ; great-grandchildren Carson, Gwen, Sophia, Jackson, Maggie, William, Martin IV, and Levi.
