
Anna G. (Longo) Benham, 87, of Upland, died June 6, 2011, at home from complications of congestive heart failure. Anna was born on December 15, 1923, in Long Branch, New Jersey, and came to California with her husband and children in 1960. She has been a resident of Upland for the past 51 years. She will be missed very much by her family, and also by her friends at the Upland Sr. Center, where her Bingo participation was a highlight of her week. She is survived by her sister, Kina Wall (Wally) of Media, PA; her daughters, Emily McNichols (Mike) of Placentia, CA, and Melinda Robbins (Freddie) of Chino, CA; four grandchildren, Adrianne Karnofel (Matt) of Santa Fe Springs, Laurelin Varieur (Darren) of Buena Park, Harry Robbins (Ashley) of Irvine, and Brantly Robbins of Chino; six great-grandchildren, Christian Karnofel, Alissa Karnofel, Jacob Karnofel and Daniel Karnofel of Santa Fe Springs, and Jude Varieur and Jack Varieur of Buena Park. A "Celebration of Life" Memorial Service will be held this coming Saturday, June 11th, at 10:00 A.M. at the Walnut Valley Vineyard Church, 20740 Carrey Rd., Walnut, CA 91789, (909) 598-6247. A reception will follow the service. Flowers may be sent to the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anna's name to the American Heart Association (www.americanheart.org), American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org), or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (www.jdrf.org).
