Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Knips was born in Lismore, Minnesota to a farming couple-Robert and Viola Knips. She had three siblings: Robert (Bob) knips, Earl W. Knips, and Bonnie Jean Ruppert. She met Gregor H. Mormann, a veteran of the South Korean war, and got married in November of 1951. She is survived by five children: Michael Mormann of Alta Loma, CA., Delaine Patterson of Tasmania, Barre Mormann of Phelan, Ca., Michele Mormann (Smith) of Chico, Ca., and Dawn Shepley of Alexandria, Tenn. She also had a total of nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Not long after they were married (1951), Greg and Betty decided to move to Redlands, California. They settled there on a chicken ranch and Betty went to work for the Post Office until she retired. After the death of Greg (1994), she married Warren Franci, a retired police officer living in Victorville (Spring Valley) where they both enjoyed dancing, some travel, and belonging to the Sons of Italy organization of which Betty was president for several years. Betty passed away peacefully after several strokes at age 91.
