

It is with great sadness that the Ades family announces the death of Clinton “Ray” Ades who died Friday, November 4th at age 84. Ray was one of four children born to Clint Ades and Marguerite Caldwell.
Ray was a lifelong resident of the Inland Empire. Ray was born in Pomona and attended Chino High School. He was honorably discharged from the US Navy. He worked at Antimite Associates for his entire career before retiring in 2000. Ray was one of the kindest souls on this planet, he was a gentle, giving man who worked tirelessly to ensure he met his family’s needs.
In 1958 Ray married Carol Coleman. Carol was his loving companion for 64 years. Ray and Carol settled in Rancho Cucamonga in 1975. They attended First Baptist Church and were regulars at the Rancho Cucamonga Senior Center. For many years Ray was also a member of the Ontario Elks.
Earlier in life Ray enjoyed boating, golfing and all things motorized. In his retirement, he spent most of his time enjoying his family and friends along with trips to Bonneville during Speed Week, and taking his ’56 Chevy pickup to local car shows.
Dad is survived by his wife, Carol, and their three sons Kevin, Christopher, and Dennis. He was a loving father to his daughter-in-laws Christina Ades and Leslie Ades and a caring and fun-loving grandpa to Taylor, Cameron, McKenzie, Zachary, Kaitlin and Ryan Ades.
Ray leaves behind his sister Ida Neu-Hope and brother Arnold Ades. He was preceded in death by his sister Shirley Mitchell. Uncle Ray is missed by his many nieces and nephews and the extended Ades and Coleman families.
The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
