

Elizabeth Ann Bowen, 73, died Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Whitney Oaks Care Center in Carmichael following a long illness. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Paul and is survived by their daughters Sharon and her husband Scott White of Sacramento. Linda Clemens and her husband Devin Clemens of Kent, Washington, and Deborah Diane. Sisters Joyce Kreitlow of Iowa, Kathy Regier of Nebraska, Nancy Rutledge of Colorado. Grandchildren Amy, Amanda, Adam, Tucker, Kaleigh, Miranda, Melissa, David, and Great Granddaughter Isabella, and nieces and nephews Kimberly, Bobbi, Suzanne, Steven, and Tracy and many close friends and her furry grandson Hunter.
She was born January 11, 1943 and raised in Ames Iowa and In California the daughter of James and Betty Newton. After graduating from Grossmont High School in 1961. She graduated from Chaffey College in 1982 with honors. During this time she raised three daughters and volunteered in the community and church. She served as a children's director for the children's program at Grace Lutheran Church and served as the Children's choir director. She was honored by the PTA by the National organization for her work with children. She also worked as a Dietetic Technician in charge of the children's nutrition program at Chaffey College for many years. After retirement she would continue to serve others sharing her joy and laughter with her friends and family.
