

After high school, Jerry enlisted in the Navy, where he learned what would become his lifelong career, lithography, part of the printing process. After receiving an honorable discharge in 1965, he worked for various printing companies in Grand Rapids and elsewhere. His work would include the printing of cereal boxes for Kelloggs, and later movie posters and album covers. He retired in California in 2000.
When he was not working, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was also an avid bowler, participating in many bowling leagues and tournaments, and brought home many trophies.
He is survived by his brother Robert Lee Wilkins of Florida; his children: Ross Scott (Delia) Wilkins of California and David Patrick Wilkins of Michigan; and his grandchildren: Emma Lynn Wilkins of California and Noah Ross Wilkins of California.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers: Alfred Wilkins, Vernon Wilkins, and Donald Wilkins.
