Guadalupe Velazquez

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful wife, mother, and grandmother Guadalupe Velazquez of Rancho Cucamonga, California. She entered into rest on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at the age of 89 while at home with family. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jesus, her daughter Ofelia (Luis Perez), her sons Jesse (Lori Velazquez) and Luis (Patricia Velazquez), and eight grandchildren Victor and Isabel Perez, Jacob, Joseph and Jesse Velazquez, and Nicolas, Sofia and Adriana Velazquez, who were the light of her life and who adored her.

Guadalupe was born in Tototlan, Jalisco, Mexico, the only child of Jose Lopez and Maria Castaneda, also of Jalisco, Mexico. She immigrated to the United States after her marriage, making her home in Rancho Cucamonga for over 60 years. A homemaker for most of her life, Guadalupe was the anchor of her family. She was known for her amazing cooking, green thumb, quick wit, and clear expectations. She leaves a legacy of love and commitment to family. Guadalupe aka "Abuelita Pita" will be greatly missed.
