Jan was born November 16, 1954 to Gordon Zimmer and Shirley Ganzer in Covina, California. She graduated and earned her Bachelor's Degree, and went on to have a long career as a substitute teacher, working in education for 25 years. Shirley was a resident of Rancho Cucamonga, living there for 48 years.
