

He was born in Des Moines, IA in 1946 to Roy and Evelyn Cressy. Following Joe’s graduation from Western High School in Anaheim, CA he went to serve as a Marine in the Vietnam War. He obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was deployed to Guam and Vietnam as a Rifleman. Joe was awarded many medals including two Purple Hearts. After getting wounded in Vietnam, he came home and married Terri Cressy, July of 1969. Joe found his passion as a machine operator for Kimberly Clark for 25 years. He was known as a jokester and loved his coworkers like family.
Joe loved nothing more than being a husband, dad, and especially a grandfather. He is survived by his wife Terri of 55 years, two daughters : Jeanne Gapper and Jodi Sharp, four grandchildren: Mikey and Molly Gapper, Joe and Cece Sharp.
He is preceded in death by his father Roy Cressy, mother Evelyn Cressy, and his sister Jackie Hartmann.
His final resting location will be at Bellevue Memorial in Ontario, CA but he will remain in our hearts forever.
