Loretta personified everything good in a person, and it was that light that drew so many people to her. She was a loving partner of 33 years to Bruce Groff, a devoted stepmother to his daughter, Andee Groff, and a beloved sister-in-law to Bruce’s five surviving siblings, who embraced her as a cherished member of the family. She also maintained close relationships with her first cousins Jim Peterson, Barbara DiCarlo, Steve Aggazzotti, Shirley Wren and Marlene Watson and their families.
She was a steady rock whose authenticity, gentleness, kindness, compassion and determination allowed her to flourish both personally and professionally. In her career, she weathered the highs and lows of the volatile escrow business with grace and dignity, earning the deep respect of clients and colleagues alike during her nearly four decades starting with Escrow Builders and just retiring from Ticor Title in August of 2023.
One of Loretta’s most unique gifts was her uncanny ability to “read” people upon first meeting them. Her instincts guided her through life’s joys and challenges, and those fortunate enough to be in her inner circle were wise to heed her observations and advice.
The gravity of her passing has yet to be fully felt, as only a week before she was her vibrant, funny and caring self. As the finality of her loss settles in, her absence will be felt even more profoundly by those who loved her. What we will cling to are the memories of the moments we shared and take comfort knowing her enduring spirit will forever live on in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate her life on Tuesday, Oct 21 from 11 am - 2 pm at Redhill Country Club (8358 Red Hill Country Club Drive, Rancho Cucamonga).
