Lucio Espinoza Sagasta

Lucio Sagasta I, 91 of Ontario, went home to his Savior August 26, 2016 while surrounded by his loving wife of 62 years and his children. He was born in Ontario, California and lived 62 years in Ontario. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during WWII and was honorably discharged in 1947. He was a cement mason for 25 years and was known for his perfectionism in his profession. He retired in 1985. In his retirement he enjoyed spending time in his backyard tending to his fruit trees and plants and tinkering in his outside office. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren during family gatherings. He enjoyed traveling with his beautiful bride and serenading her daily. He loved to read his bible, sing praise and worship songs, and do his “homework (crossword puzzles).” He is preceded in death by his son Marco Sagasta. He is survived by his wife Lucia Sagasta of Ontario, 14 of his children Irene (Jimmy) Espinoza of Upland, Lucio Sagasta II of Ontario, Gloria (Michael) Rizo of Rialto, Norma (Paul) Diaz of Ontario, Amado (Maricela) Sagasta of Ontario, Diana (Raymond) Martinez of Ontario, Laura (Moses) Jimenez of Ontario, Adrian (Teresa) Sagasta of Colorado Springs CO, Sofia (Richard) Gonzalez of Fontana, Adam (Cathy) Sagasta of Huntington Beach, Sonia (David) Guillory of Upland, Lucia (John) Chavez of Chino, Isaac (Lisa) Sagasta of Riverside, Caesar (Geraldine) Sagasta of Rialto, his 49 grandchildren, and 47 great grandchildren. His infectious laugh and dancing spirit will be sorely missed by all who knew him. His family takes comfort in the fact that he lived a very full life filled with love and laughter. Services will be held at Draper Mortuary in Ontario at 1pm on Friday September 2, 2016 immediately followed by a burial ceremony at Bellevue Memorial Cemetery in Ontario.
