Grandpa, 

You were the best grandpa a girl could ask for. I learned so much from you and miss you all the time. Brazil was amazing I'm so sad I didn't get a chance to tell you all about it but I know you were there with me. Thank you for everything, I love you so much :(

Dad, May you and mom watch over us and your amazing grandchildren and great grandson. I am grateful you were and will continue to be there for them. You will always be present in our homes with your paintings. You led an amazing life full of adventure, scuba diving, ice sculpture, oil painting, whale watching docent for children, teaching incarcerated youth to cook, history buff, and world wide traveler. Don and I enjoyed our visit with Nick and Lois while stationed at March AFB, and when we retired, we went out to see them. Now there are both in the loving arms of our Lord, we will all miss you.

I am so sad to hear of your passing Nick.  Almost 13 years ago we moved next door to you.  You and Lois embraced our family and treated us so wonderfully.  The stories of your family, your time in service, your trips and all the wonderful advice you shared with us will never be forgotten.  You and Lois were always there for us at any given moment.  I could not have asked for better neighbors.  May you watch over us from Heaven. I know you and Lois are now in forever happiness.  Our family is forever greatful for you and Lois.  May you rest in peace and the perpetual light shine upon you.

Though I never knew you, Mom (Emma Ortega) always spoke well of her brothers (Conrad and Isadore) in California. My prayers for you and your family and most sincere condolences on Uncle Isadore's (As Mom called him) loss.
