Born on January 6, 1940, in Aschaffenburg, Germany, Reinhilde was the daughter of Alfons and Barbara Hessler. She met her husband, Corval Sattler, while he was stationed in Germany with the U.S. Army. After moving to the United States, Reinhilde and Corval reconnected and were married on September 30, 1961, in Los Angeles, California.
Reinhilde and Corval made their home in the Norwalk/Los Angeles area for ten years, where they welcomed their children, James and Conny. A talented seamstress, Reinhilde worked in the garment district for many years. Her creativity and love for her family shone through in the matching outfits she often made for her children.
Eventually, the family settled in Chino Hills, California, where Reinhilde continued to nurture her family and build a warm, loving home. She found great joy in spending time in her garden, where she lovingly tended to her plants and flowers for hours on end. She also enjoyed many crafts, especially tole painting and cross-stitching, which showcased her artistic spirit and attention to detail.
She is survived by her son, Jim Sattler, and his wife Debi; her daughter, Conny Sanchez; five grandchildren — Jossolyn, Amanda, Justin, Jim, and Kalya; and four great-grandchildren — Blair, Addison, Easton, and Margot. Reinhilde is also survived by her sisters, Rosa KaKazu and Mathilde Morley, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Corval, and her siblings Theo, Maria, and George.
Reinhilde will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and the love she poured into her family. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
