Rick Parsons

Born in Brooklyn, New York June 3, 1945

Married to Denise Marie Landtroop on May 30, 1970, in LaMarque, Texas

Died in Upland, California on January 3, 2014, of congestive heart failure

Richard was preceded in death by both of his parents, Ann and Everett Parsons and one sister, Mary Duquesnel, and is survived by his wife, Denise; sons, Darren and Kevin Parsons; and four grandchildren- Ian, Blake, Ireland and Ava Parsons.

He graduated from LaMarque High School in LaMarque, Texas and earned a BA in Behaviorial Science from California Polytechnic University in Pomona, California.

He served in the United States Marine Corps in Viet Nam from 1966-1969.

Richard worked for the California Highway Patrol from 1970-1984 and left at the rank of Sergeant; Collectors Corner/Art Finds International as Vice President from 1984- 1992 and completed his professional career with the Department of Motor Vehicles as the Supervising Investigator for Internal Affairs. He had been retired since 2008.

His Funeral Services will be held in Burnet, Texas at Edgar Funeral Home at 9 am on Friday, January 10th. Interment at Bluffton Cemetery in Bluffton, Texas at 2 pm that afternoon.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held in Ontario, California at the Doubletree Hotel on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 11:00 am .Please join the family in this celebration with your favorite Rick Parsons story as everyone knew Rick best for his wit.
