Dear Nino you were a wonderful man & person and I am truly blessed to have had you as my Godfather in this world.  You will be missed more than words can say.

We only met Sal about eight months ago at the VFW dances and he and his wife Margie were so friendly it was like we had known them forever. we will miss you Sal but you will never be forgotten. Rest in peace my friend.

I knew Sal from CIM when we both worked there years ago along with his brother,Danny. I would run into him from time to time at training in paroles. What I remember most about Sal was his quick wit and good sense of humor and always a smile on his face as if he just ate the Canary. Went to school with Chovi n continued to visit with him when he would come to Anthony.  Margie our thoughts n prayers are with you n the family.

I first met Sal, about the late 80'sor early 90's, at the San Bernardino Parole office. He seemed to very knowledgeable about local bands and concerts.  He put me on mailing lists and I went to the venues he recommended when I could.  He usually had a joke or two to share which I used later.  After we retired he saw me at a some concert or show we both attended and he invited me to a monthly breakfast gathering of retiree's in Ontario.  I consider him a true gentleman of the old school variety. RIP.

Since I never met Salvador, but knowing what I know about the Gutierrez family, I think it's safe to assume that your brother was a man of character and compassion - not unlike yourself. I hope your entire family finds solace and peace knowing that Salvador is in a "better" place now.
