Selma Lee Cook, age 99, of Upland, California passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022. Selma was born July 22, 1922 in Tekoa, Washington to Iver and Nora Dowell Becklund. Selma's mother had 11 children, 5 by a previous husband and 6 with Iver Becklund. Selma was number 6 in the line of 11. She outlived all of her siblings. Selma graduated college with a BA in Education. She was a teacher for close to 60 years with many of those years at Western Christian School in Claremont, California.
Selma's only surviving relatives are her nieces and nephews. She will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by those who knew and loved her.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 10 AM at First Christian Church of Pomona, 1751 N. Park Ave., Pomona, CA.
