Awwwwww....just read grandpas note to grandma and Im BAWLING now...in a good way O:)  I love you grandma(and grandpa) more than words can ever describe! I am very thankful and blessed to have the best grandparents a girl could ask for....I will miss my grandma and the piece of my heart she took when she left...Till we meet again, I will think of you everyday! Carol I want to offer my condolences in the loss of your mother. There is never a good time to lose a mother. I truely was touched when you shared with us at piecemakers as I have gone through the loss of my mom 14 years ago and know how hard it is to let go. Your entry was just so touching as you shared that she is now celebrating in Heaven. It just makes Heaven that much closer...just a step away.

I remember meeting Thelma and her family in 1955 (just before my 5th birthday). And for the past 55 years, I have thought of Thelma as my second Mom, and all the Ryans as my family.  I am honored to have been part of her life and to have known such a caring and loving woman. Thelma, you will certainly be missed and will always be loved.

Thelma was one of the SWEETEST Grandmas I have ever met. I'm just the sister-n-law to her Grand daughter Jennifer and yet Thelma made me feel special whenever we would see each other at a gathering. She always would greet me with a BIG smile & a HUG. It was very special to me because Thelma reminded me of my grandma that passed away years ago. Thelma was ONE in a MILLION and she will be missed very much! Love to all of Thelma's family especially Jim, Carol & Jennifer!
