Remembering a moment in time while  I was visiting Yolanda at her home in Chico, CA...I think with Wendin. There was so much bright sunshine and Yolanda's amazing loving welcome. I remember Ian's pet tarantula, Arthur, and most of all the completeness of Love.

Yolanda played a special role in our lives. We knew her as a genuine, sensitive, and deeply caring woman and loved her whole heartedly. She embraced us all! We loved her sons Ian and Arthur, but had more contact with Ian. I remember visiting and loving every moment, with one minor exception of when we were introduced to the family Tarantula. A fine, big furry one who ran right up to meet us! Yolanda cooked and laughed, and we have long loved her, but missed contact in recent years. She was always so generous in her smiles and love. We recently learned she had passed some months ago. What angst is that! Our love and appreciation to Yolanda's family. We send our love and embraces to you all.

Dear Yolanda, Ian, and Family:
You were quite simply my second family, providing support and encouragement in innumerable ways.  From your amazing cooking (posole!), to helping me through college applications, to sharing your home and travels, I truly cannot thank you enough.  I will keep you and yours in my dreams and prayers, and wish you the greatest love, peace, and joy.  With condolences and strength for all, Wendin

You are such an amazing friend to my mom for so many years. I have many fond memories of you since I was little. Thank you for being there at my wedding and for being there for my mom during her time of need. I hope you know how much our family loved you. You will be truly missed.

My dear friend Yolanda:  We didn't get to say good-bye but take with you our many special movie nights, you going with me to Hawaii twice and just being good friends throughout a good part of our lives.
