She was born July 23, 1979, in Columbus, Ohio, and graduated from Richland Newhope. Chrissy had the sweetest, most kind personality and was very attentive to the people with her and her surroundings. She was a water bug and loved going swimming every chance she could get. Certain person’s voices brought an immediate smile and laughter from her. Chrissy enjoyed food and let everyone know what her favorites were as well as the ones she didn’t like. When able, she enjoyed attending First Baptist Church in Shelby.
Left to cherish many fond memories with Chrissy are her mother, Darlene Allison Walter; brother, Matt (Andrea) Walter; maternal grandmother, Joy Allison; three nephews, Owen, Levi, and Cole Walter; aunts and uncles, Valerie Walter, Paula (Kenny) Clagg, Claudia Jean Wieger, Robert (Twila) Allison, Alex Walter, and Terry (Ellen) Walter; close friends, Douglas Musser and Pamela Musser; many cousins and other dear relatives.
Chrissy was preceded in death by her father, Daryl E. Walter; maternal grandfather, Sam Allison; paternal grandparents, Roy and Grace Walter; two uncles, John Walter and Gil Wieger; and aunt, Debbie Walter.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Wappner Funeral Directors and Crematory-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 pm conducted by her close friend, Douglas Musser. She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park.
