He was born in Mansfield to Joseph and Kathryn (Woerner) Haring at their home on Blymyer Avenue. He graduated from Lexington High school in 1951, and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from Ashland College and his master’s degree from Bowling Green State University.
Frank had many different career interests that he pursued enthusiastically. He taught at Madison Junior High School and Mansfield Senior High. He built, bought, and sold apartment complexes in Mansfield. For a number of years, Frank and his brother, Jim, owned and operated Haring Meats, a business started by their grandfather upon moving to Mansfield from Europe in the early 1900’s. Frank enjoyed and succeeded in various businesses, but he most enjoyed farming and raising cattle.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Joe. He leaves behind a loving legacy with his surviving family: his wife, Betty; their six children and spouses, Heidi and Greg Golden, Mike and Sarah Haring, Gretchen and Paul Pasicynzk, Matt and Kimberley Haring, Stephanie and Chad Randolph, and Jessica and Clinton Curtis; sixteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren with a fifth one on the way. He is also leaving behind his siblings and their spouses: Jim and Angie Haring, Evelyn Betz, Marc and Joyce Haring, Arnold and Gunda Haring, Jan and Ed Staich, and Curt and Pauline Haring as well as many nieces and nephews.
Frank committed his life to Jesus Christ at 24 years of age. His faith grew over time and he looked forward to being with the Lord and his loved ones in heaven. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who made his family’s lives richer and who will be dearly missed.
A funeral service and celebration of Frank’s life will take place on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Crossroads Church on 636 Lexington-Springmill Road in Ontario. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at Wappner Funeral Directors-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Road. He will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park.
