Mary Louise Froats

She was born May 27, 1946, in Zanesville, to the late Delma and Viola (Ludwig) Deavers. Mary built a successful career as a computer programmer, a field in which she was known for her dedication and sharp mind.

Outside of her professional life, Mary had a deep love for animals, especially her miniature Schnauzers. She proudly showed her dogs at competitions and was an active participant in her dog club. Mary also cherished traveling, particularly the many trips she shared with her husband, creating memories that spanned decades.

Mary is survived by her husband of 60 years, Dennis Froats; a sister-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Deavers.

Friends may join the family for visitation Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at 100 South Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 AM at Mansfield Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Richland County Humane Society.
