Adelaide was born and raised in Danbury, Connecticut. One day, while out with her cousin, she was introduced to a young man, and after looking at her cousin, she declared, "I'm going to marry him." That moment marked the beginning of a beautiful love story with her husband, Peter. They married on July 10, 1954, and their marriage lasted 58 wonderful years until Peter’s passing in 2012.
Adelaide was an Air Force wife who loved the military lifestyle and enjoyed supporting her husband throughout his career as they traveled around the world with their five children. When Peter decided to retire, they settled back in Danbury, where Adelaide dedicated herself as a stay-at-home mom. She cherished attending her children’s concerts and sporting events, making every moment special.
In her free time, Adelaide enjoyed listening to music, taking care of her beloved dogs, and going to tag sales. She had a remarkable talent for finding hidden bargains. In her younger years, she was a member of the Danbury Drum Corps and loved going to movies.
Adelaide was predeceased by her loving husband, Peter; her parents, Luigi and Rose Lollie; her brothers, Frances, Joseph, Robert, and Louis Lollie; and two grandsons, Stephen Passaro and Ethan Burrow.
She is survived by her five children: Michael Passaro, Steven (Veronica) Passaro, Mark Passaro, Kristin (Rocco) Castellano, and Kelly (Richard) Burrow. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren: Emily (James) Dinan, Sarah Castellano, Peter Passaro, Allyson Castellano, Jason Burrow, Megan Castellano, and Daniel Burrow. Her two great-grandchildren, Liam and Charlotte Dinan, and her sister Marianne Kozak also mourn her passing.
While we are deeply saddened by her loss, we find comfort in knowing she is reunited with Peter for all eternity. Her warmth, love, and spirit will be dearly missed but fondly remembered.
Services will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens at 1295 Saxon Blvd in Orange City, Fl 32763.
