

Obituary
Mr. Charles Edward Singer, age 78, of Deltona,Fl., passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2012 after a brave battle with Prostrate Cancer. Born in Mishawaka, IN., Mr. Singer was the son of the late Daniel and Gertrude Venus (Morrison) Singer.
Chuck (Charlie) was a 1952 graduate of Pensacola High School in Pensacola, FL where he was involved in many activities as well as being known for wowing the school along with his friend Jimmy with their musical and entertaining talents. Upon graduation he attended Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL from 1953 - 1954 where he was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity (ZZ 90) and the FSU Flying High Circus ( Known as the Golden Pair along with partner Sue ). Following college Chuck became a SGT. in the US Marine Corp where he was an Aerial Photographer.
In the early days Chuck worked for WKBN as a camera man and as time went on sales would become his life profession. Holding Real Estate licenses in five states he was in the land development business for most of his career.
He loved the Lord with all of his heart, his family, friends, just people in general as well as always passing out special gift bags, Bibles and water to the homeless and those in need. Also let's not forget all of their precious kitties as he was always willing to take in another stray or abandon cat. Music was also a big love in his life. Singing, playing the guitar and banjo were on the top of the list. Chuck played in many churches, tent revivals and was a member of the groups The Sons of Song ( playing at the Grand Ole Opry) and The Diplomats. When visiting in-laws a fun jam session was always in order. As a private pilot his Piper Navajo ranked high on the list as well as the wonderful hobby of flying Radio Control Airplanes. Boating, attending Air Shows, Boat Races, Jazz Concerts, Football and Basketball games. He liked to play golf and tennis and go on wonderful picnics with his wife Robin to whom he was known as Lovey. Chuck also enjoyed relaxing to Classical, Dixieland, Jazz, Easy Listening & Christian Music. His favorite book was reading The Bible (Rom.10:9). His favorite say's were "The Best Is Yet To Come" & "See you at the house" and yes we will someday my love! Chuck was a wonderful loving man and will be greatly missed by many.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Robin (Bussenger) Singer of Deltona, FL; two daughters, Leah (Singer) Madden and Son-in-law Lenny of Bessemer, AL and Melody (Singer) Boyd, of Orlando, FL; three sons, Daniel Singer and Daughter-in-law Elayne of DeLand, FL, Don Singer and Daughter-in-law Joanell of Eustis, FL and Steven Singer, of Columbus, IN; twenty-seven grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren; his babies, Mimi, Hunter, Princess, Summer, Whitey, Josephine, Snowball and Maxi; His Brother, Lloyd Singer and Sister-in-law Helen of Sun City, AZ and Sister-in-law, Wanda Singer of Elwood, IN,. His Mother-in-law, Velma Weidlich of Elizabethtown, PA, Sister's-in-law, Marsha and Brother-in-law Dr.Richard Levin of Lititz, PA, Sandy and Brother-in-law Barry Schweitzer of Bangor, PA, Shawn and Brother-in-law Tom Castellano of Nazareth, PA and Lori Pysher of Emmaus, PA,. Twenty seven Nieces and Nephews and Sixteen great Nieces and Nephews. He is preceded in death by his Father Daniel Singer and Mother Gertrude Venus (Morrison) Singer; his Son, Timothy Wayne Singer; three Brothers, Robert Lee Singer, Welcome Singer, and Richard Singer; two Sisters, Audrey (Singer) Pasko and Zelpha (Singer) Wilcox.
A private funeral service for the family will be held at 1:30 pm with Chaplain Paul Rudy officiating followed by military honors.
