To the gentleman who inquired about Rocky: the dog was taken to Louisiana by David's great nephew. He had a large property in a rural area. He took good care of Rocky until Rocky nearly killed his mastif.  The vet found a very good home for Rocky with a family there in Louisiana.

I just found out about Daves Passing. I was down there about a year and a half ago. I drove down Mass and stayed at his house for a week. Ive known Him since I was a 20 year old kid. Now  63 Always a good guy.Does any one know what happened to rocky ( the dog) I said id take him if any thing happened to him.

David was such a character! We always had a smile when he would pull up (usually with his little buddy). He will be dearly missed.

Dave was one of my neighbors, so was Kay, his mother.  I lived next door to Kay.  She and I shared a January birthday.  I moved around the corner and came to know Dave after he moved to Florida.  When I fractured my shoulder, Dave stopped by and lectured me on how I was doing too much and should take it easy.  He came to see me about 3 months ago after my hip was replaced and, as always, lectured me on 'doing too much'.  Dave is what we all called, a great neighbor'.  He will be missed and I am thankful that our neighborhood had him for several years.
