Dawn was born in Washington, D.C, on February 21, 1967, to Alfred V. Anderson and Janice P. Beard. She grew up in Viers Mill Village. Dawn graduated from Wheaton High School in 1985. She then went on to study Cosmetology and ultimately recieved a degree in Medical Billing and Coding in 2011 from Florida Technical College in Deland, FL. Her greatest, and proudest achievment was being Mom and Ya-ya. Her other greatest moment was purchasing her first home in 2009.
Dawn was a caring, nurturing mother, sister and daughter. If she could do for you, she would with no hesitation. She was the type of person who would stand tall and strong in the face of chaos. Even in her short stature (which was part of how she earned the nickname "Froggy") she could command a room with a smile. She loved music and enjoyed watching Joel Osteen.
Dawn was preceded in death by William H. Beard (Stepfather, Sept. 2010), Robert W. Delau, Jr. (Grandson, May 2012) and Janice P. Beard (Mother, February 2016).
Dawn is survived by Alfred Anderson (father), Donna Metty (sister), Christina Walsh (sister), Amber Cunningham (sister), Cynthia Beard (sister), Amanda Campbell (daughter), Kyle Mayhew (son), Christian Blackwelder (son), James Blackwelder (son), Michael Ellis (son), Taylor Markel (daughter), Julissa Brownfield (granddaughter), Zannah Campbell (granddaughter), Deanna Campbell (granddaughter), Nalah Cliver (granddaughter), Leonardo Cliver (Grandson), Michael Ellis Jr. (Grandson), Kamaal Bryant (Grandson), Dylan Tally (Grandson), Kaitlyn Ellis (granddaughter), Dawson Ellis (Grandson), Braylan Clinton (Grandson), Alannah Markel (granddaughter), Kelli Metty (niece), and numerous uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
