He was born in Trenton, New Jersey on August 25, 1933 and grew up on his parent’s farm in Hopewell Township New Jersey.
While serving in the Army and stationed in Fort Riley, Kansas, he met his wife Elizabeth (Betty), and they were married on March 13,1960 in New Jersey.
Jim retired from the State of New Jersey in 1994, and lived his remaining years with his wife in Florida, closer to his older daughters and their children. Throughout his life he enjoyed activities such as pitching quoits with his father, bowling, and just spending time with his good friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty; his three daughters, Lois Sevcech and her husband Leonard, Janet Wooden and her partner Scott, and Dawn Puskas and her husband Thomas; seven grandchildren, Charles Frangiamore and his wife Lauren, Nicole Gilstrap, Martin Sevcech, Stephen Sevcech, Ryn Sevcech, Gabrielle Puskas, and Sydney Puskas; as well as one great-granddaughter, Ava Frangiamore.
He is also survived by his five brothers and sisters, many nieces and nephews, as well as close family friends.
Funeral arrangements will be held at 12PM on December 9, 2019 Deltona Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763, with calling hours from 11AM-12PM.
