

Joseph married the love of his life, Aida Romeu, on July 10, 1954. She preceded him in death, leaving behind cherished memories.
A proud veteran, Joseph served honorably in the U.S. Army, where he was a member of the Army Band, sharing his musical talents with service and dedication. Following his military service, he built a career as a letter carrier with the U.S. Post Office, exemplifying hard work and community spirit.
Music was his passion, and he delighted in playing the violin, sharing his love for the arts with family and friends.
He is survived by his children, David (Carol) Romeu and Cynthia (Thomas) Lobello; grandchildren, Danielle (Lucas) Lewis, T.J. Lobello, and Sarah Romeu; and great-grandchildren, Lincoln Lewis and Aidan DeJesus. Joseph also leaves behind his sister, Nellie San Andres.
Joseph’s warm spirit, love of music, and dedication to his family will be deeply missed. His legacy of service and passion will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
A visitation for Joseph will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763, followed by a graveside service with military honors from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
