

Mr. Talmadge was born on August 1, 1919 in Waterbury, Connecticut, the daughter of the late John and Mary Lahey Dalton. She was united in marriage to George Talmadge on June 21, 1941 and moved to Cheshire, CT and then in 1972, moved to Central Florida. George preceded her in death on July 13, 2004.
She graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School and had worked as a Cafeteria Manager for Chapman Elementary School for over 20 years in Cheshire, CT.
Mrs. Talmadge was a communicant of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies Guild. She also served as a Welcome Lady in Deltona for several years and was an active member of the Azalea Garden Club. She was active in St. Vincent de Paul Society and the CCW Altar Society.
She leaves a son, George Talmadge of Orlando, FL and a daughter, Mary Carroll of Asheville, NC; four granddaughters, two great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters.
Friends may call on Wednesday, February 2nd from 11 am – 12:30 pm at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd., Orange City, PH: 386-775-4260. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, 1310 Maximillian Street, Deltona at 1:00 pm with Father Joe Roberts officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Deltona Memorial Gardens in Orange City.
