Lawrence A. Forgue Jr.

As a young man, Lawrence earned his Eagle Scout rank in the Boy Scouts and graduated from York High School in Elmhurst, Illinois. He continued his studies at Loyola University. Larry married his beloved wife, Barbara and together they started their family, deciding to make Longwood, Florida their home for over 40 years. In that time, Larry, was a salesman for Brown & Sharpe and Deltronic Corporation. Upon his retirement he went to work for Walt Disney World as a Security Officer for 15 years. Throughout his time in Florida, Larry was very involved in his parish, The Church of The Annunciation, in Altamonte Springs. He was active with the Choir and as a Cantor. He also enjoyed traveling throughout Europe with his wife, Barbara. Larry will be remembered as a source of constant support for his family and a man with many perspectives on any situation.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence A. Forgue, Sr. and Evelyn Anna Forgue, and his beloved wife of 50 years, Barbara C. Forgue.

Left to cherish his memory are his children; Michael Forgue, Timothy Forgue, Brian Forgue, Michele Forgue, Mary Dietrick (John), his grandchildren; Shantell Boyett (Ronnie), John Dietrick (Sarah), Jeremy Forgue, Barbara Dietrick, Bryce Forgue, Catherine Dietrick, Keaton Forgue, and his great-grandchildren Emma, Maggie, and Trey Boyett.

A visitation for Lawrence will be held Thursday, September 3, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763. A Catholic Vigil Prayer will occur Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 6:00 PM, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763. A committal will occur Friday, September 4, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Deltona Memorial Gardens, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lawrence's memory may be made to Parkinson's Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Miami, Florida 33131.
