Luis Daniel Almodovar

Luis was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on June 30, 1946 to Flor Almodovar and Emma Pacheco.

Luis was a retired SFC (Sargent Fist Class E7) 20 years of service with US Army (Vietnam War veteran of the 25th infantry division), retired from the Volusia County School Board Transportation (School Bus Driver 7 years), and retired over the road truck driver.

His hobbies included auto mechanics and fishing.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Enid Almodovar; sons Luis D. Almodovar Jr. and Jose L. Almodovar (Jennifer); sister Emma Piompino; granddaughters Cynthia Almodovar, Gabriela Almodovar and Maya Almodovar.

He is preceded in death by his mother Emma Pacheco; father Flor Almodovar; brothers, Ramon L. Almodovar and Angelo Almodovar; and nephew Ramon L Almodovar (son) of his brother USAF Retired Ramon L Almodovar.

A visitation will be held on June 10, 2020 at 5:00 pm as well as June 11, 2020 at 10:00 am at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 11, 2020 at 11:00 am at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL. A committal service will be held on June 11, 2020 at 12:00 pm at Deltona Memorial Gardens, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL.
