My sincere sympathies to your family for the deep loss you must be feeling for your loved one. How sad to lose someone so loved and so needed. May you find comfort in prayer and in one another. (Jeremiah 29:12,13)

R.I.P Mrs. Spence she was a very lovely woman, she also was my elementary teacher, a sweetheart I never forgot her.

I am saddened to here of  Marion's passing.  Even now at the age of sixty three, I still on occasion find myself  humming the tune  or mouthing the words of a song which Marion worked so lovingly to teach us in her music class at Alachua Elememtary ; many of those songs I have never heard in any other circumstance.  My family moved away in 1964 so most of my memories are childhood memories.  Marion was such a sweet and graceful lady whose music touched countless children in such a positive way.  We all morn her passing.

I loved Ms Turk and then she became Ms Spencer. That was a big deal Every once in a while, during our music time, she would allow us to sit on the floor around her feet to listen to her play the Autoharp. She sang so beautifully and she played with so much love for the music and for her students. I remember so many of the songs we sang out of our yellow song book. Days gone by but not forgotten. Sweet and endearing memories. I am so sorry for your loss. 
I went on to take piano lessons and played for our church in my adults years. She was a true inspiration to me.

Beverly, I am so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. Both your parents and you and Scott were like family to our family. Both your parents are part of many fond memories. I will always think of them fondly. Unfortunately I learned of the funeral arrangements too late to attend. I will hold you in my heart at this time of loss.

So sorry to hear this. Mrs Spencer  was my music teacher at Alachua Elem. In the early 90's. She was very passionate about music and teaching. Great memories! She didn't mind if you couldn't  carry a tune, she just wanted you to enjoy the music! Sending prayers and positive thoughts to her family. Be well.

Beverly... I am sorry to hear about your mother's passing.  From first grade to fourth grade, I sat in her music class and I still remember her enthusiasm for music, teaching, and her students.
