Mrs. Knisely was born on October 24, 1925 in Cuyahoga Falls, Kentucky, the daughter of Charles and Flora Ryser Jones. She married Mr. Norman Knisely in 1948. Robin Lynn was born in 1956 and they moved to Florida in 1960. They lived for 12 years in Winter Park, FL and moved to Deltona in 1974. Mrs. Knisely worked for four years as a receptionist at Florida Methodist Children’s Home and was thereafter a caregiver herself for the loved ones in her family. She never left the side of her husband, Norman Knisely, who battled cancer for two years. After the passing of her husband, Mrs. Knisely took care of her mother-in-law, Mrs. Mabel Knisely, also of Deltona. Last, but not least, she brought her mother, Mrs. Flora Jones, to live with her in her own home, to care for her, which she did unselflessly and with great devotion. When her own mother died, Mrs. Knisely slowly began to suffer from symptoms of a debilitating disease. With great courage and optimism, she lived until she could no longer triumph over these symptoms. She died in the loving arms of her daughter.
She is survived by her daughter, Robin Hannemann and son-in-law, Martin Hanneman of Muenster, Germany; two granddaughters, Rebecca Hanneman and Leslie Hannemann. Especially close to Mrs. Knisely were her two loving caregivers: Megan Dougherty and Diana Denson.
