Patricia Matthews

Patricia D. Matthews, 77, of Deltona, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026. Born in Coppell, Texas on October 12, 1948, Patricia lived a life rooted in compassion, dedication, and love for her family and those she cared for throughout her career.

Patricia earned her Nursing Degree from Broward Community College and devoted many years to the nursing profession, including her work with Debary Manor. She had a true servant’s heart and found joy in caring for others, both professionally and personally. Her patients, coworkers, friends, and loved ones knew her for her kindness, warmth, and unwavering compassion.

On March 15, 1969, Patricia married the love of her life, Rodney Matthews Sr. Together they built a beautiful life centered around faith, family, and love. Their marriage was filled with cherished memories and enduring devotion through the years.

Patricia had a passion for crafts, spending time with family, and caring for others. She found happiness in simple moments surrounded by those she loved most.

She was survived by her beloved husband, Rodney Matthews Sr.; loving son, Rodney Matthews Jr.; daughter-in-law, Loretta Matthews; grandson, Anthony Matthews; sister, Maureen Fairbanks; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Visitation will be held at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763, US, on May 26, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
