Randi Rochelle (Levine) Berkery

Randi was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 24, 1964. After relocating to central Florida in 1977, she graduated from DeLand High School in 1982. She attended University of Central Florida, graduating with a degree in communications. Randi dedicated over 26 years of her career as a middle school teacher in the Volusia County school district. Her sense of humor and ability to connect with children made Ms. Berkery a favorite teacher among her students and a valued peer to her fellow educators.

Randi loved animals and always kept multiple pets as companions in her home. She was an avid sports fan, keeping up with the players and statistics for multiple teams. She loved music and attended many concerts and sporting events with her daughter, Kayla. Together they enjoyed traveling, experiencing new restaurants, and of course, shopping.

Randi valued human connection above all else. Her friendships, both new and decades-long, meant the world to her. She had such a tender heart - she was the first to laugh, the first to shed a tear, and always there to support her friends and family.

Randi is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Berne and Irene Levine, and her husband Larry Berkery. She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter Kayla Berkery.

Services will be held Sunday, May 25, 2025 at 1:00 PM at DeLand Memorial Gardens, 600 Beresford Ave. DeLand, FL 32720. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to charity of your choice.
