Reginald Joseph Hatch, Jr., 83, of DeLand died Wednesday, April 8, 2015. He was born on November 4, 1931 in Camden, New Jersey; the son of Reginald and Florence (Wheeler) Hatch. Reginald served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He served as a Sheriff’s Deputy in Camden for nearly 20 years prior to retiring to Florida in 1994. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church of DeLand and the DeBary VFW Post # 8093.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Rita (Delconte); sons, Reginald Hatch and Michael Bricketto; daughter, Diane Pennea; grandchildren, Michael Pennea, Christopher Hatch and Christina Bricketto, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Donna Hatch.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 10, 2015 from 9:00 to 11:30 am at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd., Orange City. Mass will begin at 12:00 pm. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 359 W New York Ave, DeLand. Entombment will follow in Deltona Memorial Gardens,1295 Saxon Blvd. Orange City. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in his honor.
