Born July 23, 1939 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Joseph and Rose Slobodnik. Bob lived in Deltona, Florida with his wife, Carolyn since 2005. He was a retired school teacher and coach of (35+ years) from the Richardson Independent School District. Bob loved his God and raised and taught his family to make God the pillar of their lives. He had a deep passion and loyalty for the kids he helped mentor in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He loved to golf, fish, garden and spend time at the beach. He also loved to read. He was one of the best story tellers and could captivate any audience. He loved sports, especially basketball. He was a 4 year All-American at Duquesne University. Being 6'9", wherever he walked, he always drew attention, but he was a humble man that always wanted others to get the spotlight. What he loved most though was spending time with his family and 4 grandchildren.
