Virginia P. Ackerman, of Deltona, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, at the age of 91. Born in Groton, Massachusetts, on April 13, 1934, Virginia graduated from Nashua High School. On August 2, 1952, she married the love of her life, Charles R. Ackerman, and together they built a family rooted in love and faith.
A devoted member of St. Jude’s Episcopal Church, Virginia was known for her kindness, laughter, faith, and deep commitment to her family.
She is survived by her children: Richard (Penny) Ackerman of Deltona, FL; David (Bette) Ackerman of Paramus, NJ; and Sandra (Carroll) Yates of Deltona, FL. She also leaves behind many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at St. Jude’s Episcopal Church, Orange City, FL. Interment of ashes will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Deltona Memorial Gardens.
Virginia’s life was a testament to love, faith, and family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
