I am so sorry to hear of Sam’s passing. He was one of a kind in this world. He kept us girls life hopping growing up. Of course, we probably gave him a rough way to go also. Loved our childhood. My prayers are with the family. I hope God leads you though this and helps heal your broken heart. Thinking of you all with warm thoughts.  Drema

I hated to hear about Sam. He was one of my favorite cousins growing up.

Sammy was my favorite boy cousin when we were young. He loved pickin and prankin us. Spent many a night at their house with Alice.  We saw each other almost everyday.  The path in their back yard lead to my granmaws house. Had to walk past the Miles house first. I always thought Mrs Miles was a witch. She scared the heck outta me.  When they moved to Florida I never saw them again. How sad to have missed the rest of his life.  I read up on post from him and his family but it wasn't the same as bein there.  Fill sadness for his family and friends. I'll see ya when I get to heaven dear soul. LOVE, PEACE and REMEMBRANCE

What a great guy. He was always in a good mood. He’ll be missed.

I always looked forward to our many trips in VCSO Extraditions. Sam was my brother deputy, veteran, and friend. RIP my brother.

Sam was great to work with in DeLand.  A lot of good memories were had.   RIP Sam

Sam was always a good guy in every instance.  I knew him as a young trooper (me) he was always seasoned to me.  He was always willing to help in anyway and he will be missed.

From those of us in the 56th Recruit School of the Florida Highway Patrol, we extend our heartfelt condolences. Sam was a classmate and friend to so many. He is missed.
