George Brent Mayle, age 71, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025. He was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia to the late, George H. and Delores M. Mayle. George served his country proudly in the US Marine Corp. After service he was a civil servant for the US Government. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
George is predeceased by his parents and sister, Robin Fortney. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Anita Mayle; children: Adam (Yi) Mayle, April (Mike) Young, Jonathan (Theresa McNair) Mayle and Georgette (Greg) Gafford; brother, Tracy (Lisa) Mayle; 9 grandchildren: Devin, Logan, Aubrey, Gabriel, Jarred, Charlotte, Annabelle, Joshua and Micala; nieces and nephews: Isaiah (Martina), Jacob, Noah, Stacey and Trista; and a host of extended family and friends.
Graveside services will be held 10AM, Friday, February 14, 2025 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218 with military honors.
