Joan Lewis Findley, age 74, passed away May 21, 2012 after a lengthy illness while under the excellent care of the staff and nurses of Orange Park Medical Center. She was born in Johnson City, Tennessee and graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in 1956. She was preceded in death by her daughter and best friend Natalie and sons Mike and Steve. Survivors include her husband of 55 years David L. Findley, son David L. Findley (Sonya), 3 sisters Judy Kelley, Kay Bowen (Wayne), Elaine Goss (Bill), 3 grandchildren Valerie Somers, Jessica and Lindsey Findley, 5 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 26, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Blanding Blvd. Orange Park, FL 32073. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
