

John Joseph Clark III, age 68, passed away August 18, 2010. He was born in Columbus, Wisconsin and had moved to Jacksonville in 1967. He was a retired Navy Master Chief of 20 years, worked for the State of Florida Veteran’s Outreach and was an independent insurance agent during his lifetime. John was also an active legacy life member of VFW Post 5968, Orange Park and the Military Order of Cootie. Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Jean A. Clark; mother, Hattie Clark-Moore; son, John J. Clark IV (Jonica) 3 step-children ,Daylynn Foster, Charles K. Menoher III and Deborah Powers (Allen); brother Jerry T. Clark; 2 sisters, Marcella Braker and Elizabeth Clark; 2 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Burial with military honors will be held in Jacksonville National Cemetery at a later date. A memorial service will be held at VFW Post 5968, Orange Park on September 19, 2010 at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the Ladies Auxiliary VFW, Dept. of FL for the President’s Special Project, prostate cancer.
