beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend passed away Sunday August 3rd. She was born in Danville Virginia June 5, 1951 to Eleanor and Nelson Amos.
She was a devoted wife to Gary Lynn Bowers for over 43 years and a loving mother to her sons Brian and Alan and to her seven grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother Eleanor Amos, sisters (Karen Paul and Cheryl Denton) and brothers (Dr. Ed Amos and Rob Amos)
Kathy always loved teaching. She was an inspiration to her Bible Study class as well as her S. Bryan Jennings elementary school family. She touched many lives.
The family will receive friends at Hardage Giddens Rivermead Funeral Home at 127 Blanding Blvd. from 6pm to 8pm Friday Aug. 8th.
Services will be held at 3 pm Saturday Aug 9th at First Baptist Church of Orange Park. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, it is Kathy’s request that donations be made to First Baptist Church of Orange Park.
