Lloyd Powell, age 86 of Jacksonville, Florida passed away peacefully on June 10, 2024 at home surrounded by family. He was born on June 18, 1937 to the Mr. & Mrs. Powell in Greenville, South Carolina. Lloyd graduated high school and married his forever sweetheart Phyllis. Together they built a family and a home that was nurtured by God’s grace. Lloyd proudly served in the United States Navy on the USS Antietam (CVS-36) as BT2. Lloyd had a true servants heart. The family has a small business built around honesty and truthfulness. He attended 103rd Street Church of God with family. He is survived by his loving and devoted children and two grandchildren and a host of extended family and church family.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2024,10:00 am - 11:00 am, followed by a Memorial service at 11:00 am, at Hardage-Giddens Rivermead Funeral Home, 127 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL 32073. Pastor Roger Bolman to officiate.
