

Mr. Luis A. Delgado- Caceres passed away on September 17,2020 in the city of St. Augustine. He was born in Juncos, Puerto Rico on November 14,1947 to Petra Caceres and Luis Delgado. He was the widow of his long-time wife, Blanca F. Santiago, who he had three kids with. He leaves behind his three children, Irma Rosa, Luis Angel and Lillian Noemí. He also leaves behind six grandchildren and one greatgrandchild: Bianca, Rudy, Aleisha, Keishla, Valeria, Alvin, and Adonis.
Luis served in the US Navy. Since he enlisted very young, he completed his GED with the help of the Navy. He received many medals and recognitions for his role in the Vietnam War. After his service, he worked at Elena Filters, a water environmental maintenance company. Luis loved nature, especially plants and animals. He owned many birds and filled his home with beautiful plants. Nature inspired his acrylic paintings.
Luis was a hard-working man who always loved and cared for his family. People remembered him as a happy person and always was open to help anyone in need. His favorite days were his family barbeque get togethers. Luis will be miss greatly by his family and friends.
Private Family burial will be Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL with military honors.
