Nancy Eileen Flowers

Hardage-Giddens Rivermead Funeral Home

Nancy Eileen Ericson-Flowers died at her home in Sumter Senior Living, The Villages, Florida on

Monday April 15th at 4:25pm at the age of 90 due to natural causes. Nancy was born in Toledo, Ohio

on June 28, 1933 to Garnet Faye Langham and Clarence Matthew Bishop, Sr.

She was married to Donald Luther Ericson in 1953, they had two children, Elizabeth Jean and Donna

Sue and moved to Orange Park, Florida in 1961. She was an active member of the Asbury United

Methodist Church since 1963. She served on the board and was a Sunday school secretary and a

member of Hope Circle. She was a Girl Scout leader at Doctors Inlet for several years. She served as

Chairperson for Cultural Arts for Clay County Extension Homemakers and President of Doctors Inlet

Extension Homemakers.

She worked several years in the medical field in Green Cove Springs and Orange Park.

She lost her beloved husband Don after Thirty-six (36) years in 1989.

She met and married Arthur Flowers, Jr in 1991. After seven (7) short years lost her friend and beloved

husband to cancer.

Nancy is predeceased by her parents, five sisters: Betty Jane, Jeannie Adeline, Caroline Marie, Vivian

Hope, Suzanne; two brothers: Clarence Matthew, Jr., Gary Lee; two Husbands: Donald L. Ericson,

Arthur Flowers, Jr. and her companion of twenty-two (22) years Charles Joseph Post, Sr.

She is survived by her daughters: Elizabeth Day (Jerry Day), and Donna Chandler (William Chandler,

III), Stepson: Gary Parham (Sande Parham). Grandchildren: Donald Day (Yuli Cruz), Shannon Bartilucci

(Jeff Bartilucci), William Daniel Chandler (Christina Chandler), Heather Daveline (Alan Daveline); Great

Grandchildren: Aurora Day, Luna Day, Milo Bartilucci, Leo Bartilucci, Andrew Daveline and Kaleb

Daveline; Nieces: Dawn Marie McNally, Kelly McNally-Kershner(Steve) and Sandra Levandoski (Jeff).

She is also survived by Charlie’s children: Charles Joseph Post, Jr. (Mary) and Donna Jean Pringle.

The family will be hosting a celebration of Life that will be announced at a later time.
