Pono Nanea Mikala Edwards

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved PonoNanea Mikala Edwards, who left us too soon on March 31, 2025, at the age of 31. Pokey was a light in the lives of so many, but above all, she was the heart and soul of her two beautiful children, Cadence (10) and Calem (6). Being their mother was her greatest joy and purpose, and her love for them will forever be an unbreakable bond. Pokey created bonds that were deeper than the soul. Especially with her mother, Michalle, with whom she now joins. She is survived by her loving father, Glen, her devoted siblings, Aloha (36), Lokelani (33),Veselee (31), Kiki (29), and Maka (28), and a large family of aunties, uncles, cousins, and friends who cherish her deeply. Pokey's presence was a true gift. Warm, inviting, and filled with laughter. Pokey had a knack for for making people feel at home, for loving fiercely, without hesitation, and for bringing out pure joy in those blessed enough to know her. Whether she was curled up with a great anime, a worthwhile horror flick, or indulging in all the snacky snacks, she found happiness in the little things and shared that gift with everyone around her. Though our hearts ache with her absence,we will forever carry her love, her laughter, and her light with us. PonoNanea Mikala Edwards will never be forgotten.

Services held at Hardage-Giddens Rivermead Funeral Home located at 127 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, Florida 32073. Monday April 7th at 11am (viewing held between 10-11am).
