She was born in the area of Mt. Eagle, Sewanee, Tennessee on October 14, 1935. Charlene graduated from high school in Tennessee, and on April 14, 1967 she would marry her husband Lee G. Perry for a wonderful 57 years. Charlene worked in various jobs for American Can Company and Lee's Transmission Service. She had a passion for going up north and spending time with her family fishing, boating, and snowmobiling. In the summer Charlene enjoyed auto racing and attending Nascar events.
She was survived by her husband Lee Perry; her children Jeff and Leonard Perry; her grandchildren Alyssa and Ryan Perry.
A memorial service for Charlene will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Orland Funeral Home, 9900 W 143RD ST, ORLAND PARK, IL 60462.
