Dorothy was born in South Chicago to Walter and Lottie. Growing up, she and her sister Joan were very close to their extended family, including her maternal grandmother, an aunt, uncles and younger cousins. Dorothy married the love of her life, John in 1955 and raised two loving daughters She enjoyed a long career at the Greater Chicago Auto Auction before retiring to Arizona. There she enjoyed almost 30 years of warmth and sunshine before returning to the frigid tundra of Chicago. Dorothy enjoyed travelling, was an avid reader, and a fierce card shark. She especially loved spending time with her family. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, sister, and husband. She is survived by her children, Janice (Dan), Debbie, grandchildren, Jay and Ryan (Shannon), great-grandson-to-be, Jackson, brother-in-law, John, and several nieces and nephews.
