

With broken hearts, we announce the passing of our treasured husband, father, and grandfather, George Michael De Masi of Orland Park, Illinois, was called to heaven on May 14, 2026, at the age of 69. Born in February 1957, George lived a life centered around family, love, and devotion.
George is the loving husband of Joanne De Masi (née Fuss) for 48 wonderful years. A devoted father to Nicole, James (Gina), and Daniel (Megan). An incredibly proud grandfather to Alyssa, Ethan, Peyton, Cora, Everett, Kameron, and Isabella, who he loved dearly.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Jr. and Clara De Masi and his mother and father in-law Al and Julia Fuss.
George is the loving brother of Theresa (the late Harry) Kekatos, Darlene (Tim) Dryer, the late Joseph (Kathy), Denise (the late Michael) Grana, James (Jennifer), the late Robert (Carol) Fuss, Marilyn Gorzkowski, and the late Jackie Fuss.
George will be remembered for his deep love of family, his unwavering devotion, and his passion for cheering on the Chicago Bears and White Sox. The memories shared with him whether watching a game, spending time with family, or simply enjoying life together will be cherished forever.
A celebration of life will be held at Orland Funeral Home, located at 9900 W. 143rd Street, Orland Park, Illinois 60462 on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026 from 2pm-8pm.
He leaves behind a family who loved him deeply and will miss him beyond words.
